Willow

My little dog, a heartbeat at my feet

July 2001 - April 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved dog and most precious family member, Willow. We lost Willow in April and are just posting this now because we are still grieving so much and have had such a hard time accepting Willow is no longer with us. Writing this makes it so final but we owe it to our little angel. Willow brought so much happiness to her family and is dearly missed. Willow came into our lives in 2001 at the age of 7 weeks old and we were so blessed to have her in our lives for almost 18 years. Whether it was ferociously guarding us with all 9 pounds of her or kissing away our tears, she taught us the true meaning of unconditional love. She loved her long walks, her many car rides and anything else that involved spending time with her Mommy and her Grandpa and Grandma. She was her Mommy’s best friend, she gave her purpose in life, a reason to smile every day and the strength to fight the biggest battle of her life. She loved her visits from Auntie and broke into the modelling world at the age of 16 when Auntie discovered she was the perfect “sample size” for the sweaters she crocheted. Her passing has left a huge void in our hearts and we will be forever grateful for the joy she brought to our lives. We miss you so much Willow and can still feel you in everything we do. We long to feel the brush of your fur against our leg, to hear the constant pitter patter of you following us around the kitchen and to see those big brown beautiful eyes staring up at us with so much love and adoration. “my little dog, a heartbeat at my feet”. We love you Willow and are so thankful for the time we had with you. …..until we meet again. Love, Mommy, Grandpa, Grandma and Auntie. xoxo
