Bear

We can’t Bear to say goodbye..

2005-2017

Bear was our perfect dog. He was brave and full of adventure! He would run through the field with no end in sight, in the rain or cold or the sun or the snow! He loved walks and smelling and peeing on every second twig or bush, prolonging every walk with purpose. His yawns were as big as his heart and he took after one of his humans, Cait, with an extraordinary love of licking his paws. (similar to Cait’s long running obsession with sucking her thumb.). He would greet you at the door, snore at the foot of your bed, and always provide that familiar sense of presence when you needed it or not. He didn’t like it when Cait tried to pretend he was the kind of dog that you could dress up or fit in a purse, but he pretended not to care. He was lovingly called HAPPY PANTS by human Matt, and that name Seemed to suit him best. He had so much love to give our family of four, and really came into our lives at a time when we all really needed a new reason to get up in the morning. Though he won’t admit it, human Adam will find himself bored in the summers when there is no poop to pick up. Human Cynthia will miss him following her around the entire house until she finally took him for a mid summers night walk. There is a hole in our hearts that will not be filled by Anything, big or small. It’s a Bear sized hole. We loved you so much. You brought our family closer together. And our time with you was BEARLY enough. We love you. You’re such a good boy. Sleep well and we can’t wait to meet you again in heaven.
